EASY 20-Minute Fried Rice Recipe

3 cups cooked and cooled white rice (preferably a day old) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 cup diced vegetables (carrots, peas, corn, and diced bell peppers work well) 1/2 cup diced cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu (optional) 3 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional) 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Ingredients

Preparation: Ensure that the cooked rice is cooled and separated to avoid clumping.

Cooking Eggs: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Stir-fry Vegetables: In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Add Protein (Optional): If using chicken, shrimp, or tofu, add it to the pan and cook until it's fully cooked and heated through.

Combine Rice: Add the cooked and cooled rice to the pan, breaking up any clumps.

Sauce Mixture: In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil.

Add Scrambled Eggs: Add the scrambled eggs back into the pan, tossing everything together until well combined.
