Easy Tofu Recipes and Vegetarian Meals

1 block extra-firm tofu 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon sesame oil 1 tablespoon rice vinegar 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave nectar 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon ginger, grated Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Ingredients

Begin by pressing the tofu to eliminate excess water. Wrap the tofu block in a clean kitchen towel and place a weight on top.

Whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, maple syrup (or agave nectar), minced garlic, and grated ginger in a bowl.

Heat a non-stick skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated tofu cubes to the hot pan, keeping the marinade aside.

Pour the reserved marinade over the tofu and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Take the pan-seared tofu off the heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

Serve the pan-seared tofu over rice, noodles, or in a salad. Revel in the delicious and flavorful tofu!
